Most of the class L45H locos were delivered to Poland, Romania, and Hungary. The former GDR did not order any of these locos back then. Following the reunification of Germany in 1990, however, various machines of this type came to Germany, including road number L45H-083. It was purchased by BVO Bahn GmbH (Busverkehr Ober- und Westerzgebirge), which operated the Fichtelberg Railway between Cranzahl and Oberwiesenthal at the time. Here, it was initially given a blue paint scheme with a yellow decorative stripe and was available for operation from 2001.
