As early as the end of the 19th century, a procurement order was issued for a first series of seven steam-powered rail cars that were mainly operated on branch lines in southwestern Germany. Eugen Kittel, chief mechanical engineer for the Royal Württemberg State Railways (K.W.St.E.), designed a more efficient boiler, which led to an order for ten further steam-powered rail cars in Württemberg in 1905. The first series was modified accordingly. During the era of the German State Railroad Company, the remaining steam-powered rail cars were designated as road numbers 9 Stuttgart to 14 Stuttgart.
Another series of class 121a steam-powered rail cars was delivered in 1914/15 for the Grand Ducal Baden State Railways, and were later designated by the German State Railroad Company (DRG) as road numbers CidT 1 to 8. Another two steam-powered rail cars from this Baden series were acquired by the German Federal Railroad after 1945, and they were painted in the crimson color scheme customary for powered rail cars.
In 1951 and 1953, these two steam-powered rail cars, dating back to the provincial railroad period, were withdrawn from service by the German Federal Railroad.

Highlights:

The model frame is made of metal.

High-performance motor from the latest generation.

Headlights with warm-white LEDs.

Model with a system coupler at the rear.

Accurate reproduction of the front buffer beam.

Many separately applied parts.

Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) type Kittel CidT steam-powered rail car, road number CidT 1.

Specifications:

Length over the buffers approximately 5.10 cm

Scale: Z (1:220)

Type: Powered Rail Cars

Warning

ATTENTION: not suitable for children under 15 years.

This product contains small parts that may be a choking hazard.
