Marklin 37988 Steam Passenger Locomotive with a Tub-Style Tender.
Model: The locomotive has an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has controlled high-efficiency propulsion. 3 axles powered. Traction tires. The 72270 smoke unit can be installed in the locomotive. Maintenance-free warm white LEDs are used for the lighting. There is a close coupling between the locomotive and tender. The engineer's cab is detailed. Brake hoses, prototype couplers, and protective sleeves for the piston rods are included as detail parts. Length over the buffers 21.0 cm / 8-1/4".

Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class 038 (38.10-40) steam passenger locomotive with a tub-style tender. Former Prussian P 8. Boiler with 2 domes and Witte smoke deflectors. Road number 038 193-9. The locomotive looks as it did around 1968/69.
