In the year 2001, the first Süd-Thüringen-Bahn railcars rolled onto the rails in South Thuringia. This diesel railcar providing approximately 70 seats, handicapped-accessible areas for wheelchairs and prams, bicycles etc, and a toilet is tailored specifically for regional traffic.
